Privacy Policy
We want you to know what information the WSN website collects and how it is handled.
Who we are
Women’s Survivors Network (WSN) is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. Questions about this policy may be sent to hello@wsnetwork.org.
Information you choose to share
If you contact us through the website, we may receive your reason for reaching out, name, email address, and brief message. Reasons for reaching out may include Board or advisory interest, funding or donations, general inquiries, media inquiries, organizational workshops, training or advising, partnerships, survivor resources, and volunteering.
Please do not send a detailed account of abuse or urgent safety information through a website form or ordinary email.
Contacting WSN does not automatically add you to a mailing list. If you subscribe to WSN’s writing through Substack, that service handles your subscription and provides its own privacy information.
Information collected when you visit
Website hosting and security systems may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps to operate and protect the site.
WSN uses Google Analytics to understand how people use our website. Google Analytics may collect information about website activity, device or browser type, approximate location, and other usage information, and may use cookies or similar technologies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
How information is used and shared
We use inquiries to respond to the reason someone contacted us and to operate WSN. We do not add someone to an updates list solely because they contacted us.
Inquiry information may be shared internally with WSN team members who need it to respond or carry out their role. Service providers may also process information for services such as website hosting, forms, email, analytics, or subscriptions.
If we are helping someone identify an outside resource or referral, WSN may contact another organization to ask about available support without identifying the person. We will ask for permission before sharing information that identifies them with a referral partner, unless disclosure is required by applicable law.
Retention and protection
WSN works to limit access to inquiry information to people who need it for their role. No website form or ordinary email can guarantee complete security or confidentiality.
WSN is developing a formal records-retention and deletion policy. In the meantime, inquiry information may be retained as needed to respond to inquiries, maintain appropriate organizational records, and meet applicable obligations.
Your choices
You may contact hello@wsnetwork.org to ask about information you have submitted or request a correction or deletion, subject to applicable obligations.
Subscription preferences can be managed through the subscription service.
